#ThrowbackThursday…

When we were boarding at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama, Pono used to bump Ice Cube’s Lethal Injection so hard. So hard, in fact, that we both got detention one day for putting a curse word on repeat just to mess with our friend, Aaron Makaimoku, who was trying to take a nap at the time. When our dorm adviser confiscated the CD (mp3s weren’t invented yet), Pono gave him the Lethal Injection album case, but slipped another CD so we could continue to listen to Ice Cube’s gansta-ass lyrics. We were just a couple of middle school students, living away from home in Maude Post East dormitory, idolizing rappers, and trying to prank our homies every chance we got.

#HowtoMakeit Luis Guzman…

HBO’s hit series How to Make it in America kicks off its 2nd season on Oct. 2 just in time to fill the void left behind by the season finale of Entourage. Duck Sauce remade their viral smash “Barbra Streisand” and adapted it to Luis Guzman, the actor who plays hilarious ex-con Rene Calderon. If you liked Entourage, you will love #howtomakeit.

The G-Connection…

This video features 2 of my favorite west coast O.G.’s, and the golden voice of former homeless man Ted Williams. But Snoop DoGGGG, why the 4 G’s?
